MRS. WILMA ROBINSON was born on May 17, 1942 in Siler City, NC to the late Mary Jo Martin and Wade Martin..
She was a graduate of Chatham High School and received her degree in teaching at the Durham Business College. Later in life she moved to Wilmington, NC with her late husband, James Robinson where she began teaching at George Gray Elementary School. After teaching, she moved to New Castle, DE where she opened up a daycare in her home. When her husband retired, they moved back to Siler City where she attended CCCC. and received a certificate in the Nursing Assistant Program. She worked as a CNA and receptionist at the Chatham Hospital. In her free time, she enjoyed writing poems and plays for the Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jo and Wade Martin; one sister, Annie White; and two brothers, Ed Martin and Roy Martin.
Those left to cherish her loving memories are: her daughter, Nekia RObinson Thiry (Ryan); one son, Jamie Robinson (Erika); two grandchildren, Jason and Yeshawn Robinson; five great grandchildren; her two sisters, Mary Scotton and Judy Currie; two brothers, Kelly Martin and Lynn Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
