Pamela Lee Obituary

Pamela Veresa Lee was born March 14, 1962 to the late Elvin Alston and the late Christine Lee. She departed this life on December 19, 2023 at the age of 61.

Pam attended school in the Chatham County School System, graduating from Jordan Matthews High School in 1980. Even as a young child, Pam was “determined”, standing firm on her beliefs and her views. She never left people wondering how she felt about something. Pam worked briefly at Chatham Trades before beginning her career at Chatham Hospital in environmental services. Pam was a hard and dedicated worker, serving Chatham Hospital for over 32 years. Even though Pam did not drive, she was at work, rain, snow, sleet, or hail, when she felt good, or when she could hardly stand. She did not believe in missing work for any reason.

Pam was just as dedicated and faithful to her Lord and Savior. From the early years, Pam was a member of Holy Trinity United Holy Church, participating in the youth choir, and the YPHA. She later became a member of the gospel choir and mass choir. Pam was also appointed to the scholarship committee. She was very supportive of her church, especially the youth department. She would always give whatever was asked to support the cause.

Pam had a great sense of humor, often having family and friends laughing at something she said, or did. She was quick to share something Madea said or something she learned from Judge Judy. Excitement could be heard in her voice when she talked about a wrestling show. When she was not watching TV she was listening to gospel music. Pam was always looking for the next song for the choir. She loved cooking and baking. She would often prepare Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for the family and if you couldn’t make it, she would send you a plate.

Pam leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, Timothy Lee of Burlington, North Carolina, sister, Jackie Brown of Siler City, North Carolina, stepmother Ruby Edwards of Siler City, niece Kendra Wagstaff of Burlington, great nieces Arianna and Aaliyah Bell of Burlington, uncles Clarence Lee (Janice) of Siler city and James Ray Alston of Siler City, aunts, Shirley Lee, and Georgia Lee of Siler City, great aunts Martha Lutterloh of Siler city, Elmer Person of Pittsboro, family friend, Debbie Britt, and a host of cousins and friends.
