Ms. Nathel Lee Emerson

On Sunday, February 19, 2023, her heavenly Father called her home to rest, to be with Him. For the Lord is her shepherd, for she shall not want. He maketh her to lie down in green pastures.

Ms. Nathel Lee Emerson was born in Chatham County, North Carolina to the late Willie and Martha Emerson. She departed this life on February 19, 2023, at her residence at the blessed age of 99. She was the youngest of seven (7) children and the last to go home to be with the Lord.

Ms. Nathel Lee was educated in the Chatham County school system and the Stokes Beauty School in Raleigh, NC. She worked at the Sanford Tobacco Company Redrying Plant and Warehouse in Sanford, North Carolina and fixed hair at Ms. Annie Mae Womble Hall’s salon in Sanford, North Carolina.

Ms. Nathel Lee was a lifelong member of Roberts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Goldston, North Carolina where she was a member of the choir since childhood and a member of the Pastor’s Aide for numerous years. She also participated in other areas of the church. She loved her church.

Ms. Nathel Lee is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Martha Emer- son; four sisters, Myrtle Emerson Dark, Lorena Emerson, Hilda Emerson, Mil- dred Emerson McAdoo and two brothers, J.W. Emerson and Caldwell Emer- son.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a faithful cousin and caregiver, Debra Faye Alston Paige (Carl) of Siler City, NC; one nephew, Kenneth McAdoo of Greensboro, NC and a host of other family members and friends.
