Mrs. Veronica Suzette Siler-Martin

On Monday, August 15, 2022 the Lord opened his arms and called Veronica Suzette Siler Martin to join him in his heavenly home.

Suzette or Susie, as she was known by family and friends, was born May 2, 1959 in Siler City, NC.  Her parents were the late Jazz Siler and Yvonne Graves Siler.  

Suzette lived most of her life in or near Siler City, but she spent short periods in the Washington, DC area.  Always returning home to NC.  Suzette worked hard and held various jobs that included working as a Nurse’s Aide until her health declined.  

Susie started her family with daughter Marquita Danielle Siler and later added another daughter, Kimberly Burris.

Danielle and Kim gave her the greatest of joy, by making her a grandmother.  Jasmine Yvonne, Jaylen Simone and Wyatt Ella.  

She enjoyed watching TV, her Soap Operas and reading.

Suzette looked for and found the good in people, no matter their circumstances, this is why she enjoyed her nursing.  She really cared about people and how they were doing.

Suzette was preceded in death by her parents, Yvonne & Jazz Siler.  Suzette is survived by daughters Marquita Danielle Siler Tyler (Chad) and Kimberly Burris.  Brother Norman V. Siler (Tonja).  Grandchildren Jasmine Harper, Jaylen Harper and Wyatt Burris. Nephew Norman Siler Jr., Nieces Tanika A. Siler and Patrice Renee Humphries. Great nieces Nevaeh & Alisha Siler and Great nephew Ahmir Humphries.  

She made a positive impact on this world.  Suzette leaves behind a legacy of strong devotion, caring and love for all of her family and friends.
