Mrs. Lucille Christine Goldston

Lucille Christine Goldston was born on October 20,1935 in Pittsboro, NC and she entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 9,2021 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. Her parents were the late Willie and Bertha Brooks. 

At an early age, she joined Glovers Grove A.M.E. Zion Church. She served on the Usher Board and Food Committee, sang on the Choir, and attended Sunday School. 

She attended Hortin High School in Pittsboro, NC and married the late Jimmy James Goldston. To this union, two sons, Jimmy James, Jr .and Paul W. Goldston and three daughters, Priscilla T. Bynum, Cynthia Lorraine Goldston and the late Cassie Diane Goldston were born. 

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Willie and Bertha Brooks; her sisters, Myrtle Rogers and Azalea Cross; her brother, Lonnie Brooks; and her daughter, Cassie Diane Goldston. 

She leaves to cherish precious memories: two sons, Jimmy James Goldston and Elder Paul (PastorJackie) Goldston; two daughters, Priscilla(Tony) Bynum and Cynthia Goldston; eight grandchildren, Angel, Paula and Rachel Goldston, Shelton, Theodocia Bynum and Roderick Antonio Goldston, Lashonda and Rashad Goldston; sister, Veronica(Grady) Alston; two brothers, Vernon(Helen) Brooks and James Brooks; two brothers-in-law, Monroe Goldston and Johnny Mae Goldston; and a host of nieces, nephews ,other relatives and friends.
