Mrs. Linda Lou Lavern Moffitt Siler was born in Chatham County to the late Queen B. Wiley and Late Clarence Mason on July 12, 1944 and adopted by the late Walter Moffitt. She entered her eternal rest in UNC Hospice Care at her home on September 22, 2022.
Linda was preceded in death by her two sons, Leo Stepvohn Lane and Diffie Grayling William Lane; loving husband, Leroy Siler; ex-husband. Leo W Lane; sister, Cynthia (Poochie) Moffitt; brother, Tony Rayvohn Moffitt.
At an early age, she joined First Missionary Baptist and was an active member. She was a member of the Pastor's Aid and participated in other activities in the church.
Linda was a graduate of Chatham High School in Siler City, NC. Later in life, she attended Central Carolina Community College in Sanford, NC and graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting.
She worked for Knotts and Sons Funeral Home as a secretary for several years. Linda has a passion for accounting. She prepared income taxes for over 40 years. In 2000, Linda opened her own accounting business, Siler's Accounting and Bookkeeping.
Those she leave to cherish her precious memory are; a loving, devoted, bestfriend and daughter, LaShanda Lane; a loving and devoted niece, De'Borah (DeeDee) Moffitt; three brothers; Walter (Poley) Moffitt, Dalton (Flip) Moffitt, and Thomas (Darise) Wiley; a sister, Juanita (Kim Baby) Wiley; two sister in laws, Shirley Siler and Julie Siler; a brother in law, Sterling Brewer (Donna); seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; a devoted friend, Pastor Christine Dark; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
