Mr. Robert Headen was born to Mrs. Alene Yarborough on January 25, 1940 in Chatham County. He departed this life after a lengthy illness on May 29, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC.
He graduated from Chatham High School in 1957. He was gainfully employed at Chatham Novelties Furniture Plant for 45 years until his retirement. Robert enjoyed watching old western movies, remembering his childhood friends, talking about history, and sharing memories with his kids and friends.
Robert was married for 58 years to the late Hazel Goldston Headen. He leaves to cherish his memory, four children; two daughters, Theresa Brooks (Allen), Veronica Brooks (Toddy); two sons, Franklin Headen (Tiffany), Earl Goldston of siler City, NC; one special daughter, Kirstie Ferrell (McKinley) of Asheboro, NC; four sisters, Juanita Reives, Martha Yarborough of Siler City and Norma Yarborough of Liberty, NC; one living brother, Hugo Headen of Jacksonville, Fl; five grandchildren, Tia Rogers (Vernon), Alicia Moffitt (Nick), Jocelyn Ingram (Dominic), Franklin P. Headen (Kendra) and Cameron Brooks (Britani) and five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
