Jesse Lee Bellamy never fought in a war or boxing match, but he was a warrior and won every battle presented in his life. Now he has won the ultimate battle, he gained his strength and independence back when he joined his Lord and Savior on August 19,2022.
Jesse Lee Bellamy was born in Tarboro, N.C. to the late James Eddie Bellamy and Mary Lee Bellamy. Jesse Bellamy, a man of few words, worked and retired from Dixie Furniture. He was loved by his family and friends.
Surviving are: his two sons, Jessie Earl Bellamy of Maxton, NC and Michael(Joanie) Bellamy; his two daughters, Jackie Vaughters and Yolanda Bellamy, all of Lexington, NC; five brothers, James Bellamy(Butch), David Bellamy, Willie Bellamy, John Bellamy and Haywood Bellamy; three sisters, Hattie King, Sheila Lee, and Annie Dancy, all of Lexington, NC. He also leaves to cherish his memories: a special friend Lucille Daniels of Rocky Mount, NC; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bellamy was preceded in death by: his father, James Eddie Bellamy; his mother, Mary Lee Bellamy; his loving wife of 51 years, Olivia Bullock Bellamy; four brothers, Clarence Bellamy, William Bellamy(Jed), Julius Bellamy(Boot) and Robert Bellamy; two sisters, Catherine Thorne and Mary Louise Bellamy; and one grandson, Steven Lamar Vaughters.
Jesse Lee Bellamy will be missed,
but his crooked smile,
words of wisdom, and sense of humor
will never be forgotten!
