Mr. Ernest Cross Obituary

Ernest “Bryan” Cross, son of Eugene and Paulette Cross, born on February 18, 1980, departed his earthly life on April 14, 2022 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Growing up in Asheboro, NC, Bryan was a member of St Luke United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, was a member of the Youth Group, and served on the Usher Board. Known for detailing cars, Bryan was the go-to for getting your car washed. After graduating from Asheboro High School, he attended Winston-Salem State University where he studied Sports Management. An enthusiastic sports lover from a young age, he played a variety of sports, including basketball and college football. Anyone that knew Bryan knows that he was a huge Michael Jordan fan. He owned just about every pair of retro Jordans and made sure it was known that their birthdays were a day apart. When it  came to college basketball, he was an avid Carolina fan, and during football season he was all about the Cowboys. Whether he was working, spending time with family and friends, or bragging about how he could make a homemade  cake (Margaret, Katisha), Bryan’s fun-loving personality always shined through. Known for being the “gentle giant”, he won everyone’s heart, and although no longer physically   here, the mark he left in our lives will forever leave an impact.

He was preceded in death by his son, Malachi; maternal grandparents: London and Polly Bynum; paternal grandfather: Eugene W Cross Sr.; 4 aunts: Burnetta, Faye.  Marie, and Vanessa); 1uncle: Paul, and several great-aunts and uncles.

Bryan leaves to cherish his loving memory, his parents, Eugene and Paulette Cross, one son, Ryan; his sister, Gretchen Cross, 2 nephews, Jaylen and Lee, and a host of loving relatives.
