Mildred Yvonne Johnson

   Obituary

Ms. Mildred Yvonne Johnson was born on December 16, 1940 to the late Grady Van and Ethel Alston Johnson of Siler City, NC where she spent her formative years. She was called to her Heavenly Home on August 22, 2019.

She attended Chatham High School in Chatham County graduating in 1958.

She joined Evans Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age where she attended faithfully up until her death. She served on many committees.

She started her employment with Sterling Clothing Store moving on to the Poultry Plant. From there to textiles retiring from Master Craft Fabrics. She also volunteered at the PTA Thrift Shop for over 30 years. 

She was preceded in death by one son, Rickey Johnson, a granddaughter, two great-grandchildren, three brothers and one sister. 

She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Sharon, Antoinette (Norman), and Takia; two sons, Darryl (Beverly), and Fred (Emma); a faithful daughter-in-law, Renee; three brothers, Leon, Joe (Mildred) and Cedell; four sisters, Dorothy, Barbara, Carol (Raymond) and Helen (Jack); fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
