Deacon Troy Lee White was born April 19, 1933 in Alamance County to the late Samuel and Annie Bowden White.
He departed this life October 1, 2021 at the age of 88, surrounded by his family.
He professed Christ at an early age and was a faithful member to Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church in Siler City, NC where he served many roles.
He married Gaynette Patterson Keck on December 24, 1952. From this union they had two sons: Jerry Lee White and Phil Lewis White.
In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Gaynette White and siblings Sammy, Floyd, Avis, Bonnie, Walter (Pete) and Delacy.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Jerry White (Reta) of Siler City, NC and Phil White (Samantha) of Kernersville, NC; six grandchildren, Tasha, Tia, Nigel Sydney, Caleb and Zachery; two great grandchildren, Michael and Mariah; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Troy was a loving husband, father, Papaw and friend. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
