Billie Margaret Peoples Johnson was born July 4, 1937 to the late Lotus Peoples and Lois Peoples in Chatham County. She joined Evans Chapel Church at a young age. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was united in marriage to Henry B. Johnson.
She held many offices in the church. She was once president of the Deaconess Board, member of the Gospel Choir, Assistant Class Leader #10. She was also a member of the Stewards Board, Usher Board Captain, and the Missionary Board, always willing to do her part. She had many hats in the church, these are just a few.
She enjoyed taking care of her sisters, and visiting them as much as possible. One of the highlights of her life was when she and her sisters went on a cruise. She was very openhearted and her smile would make you smile.
Christmas was her favorite holiday.
Billie was proceeded in death by her husband, Henry B. Johnson, and brother Bobby People.
She leave to cherish her memories, Henry V. Johnson (Carla), Robie Johnson (Pamela) of the home, Clifford Johnson of Trinity, NC; one daughter, Minister Patricia A. Glover (Raymond) of Siler City, NC; one adopted son, Dennis glover (Kathy); two sisters, Fannie Long of Gainville, FL, and Hettie McLean of Lillington, NC; and one brother, Grady Alston (Viona) of Siler City, NC. She also leaves four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
