Betty Marie (Burnette) Paschal

Mrs. Betty Marie Burnette Paschal daughter of the late Harry and Lillie Edna Burnette was born on January 29, 1924 in Chatham County. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at her home.  Betty Marie received her education in the Chatham County Schools. On December 8, 1945, she was united in holy matrimony to Richard D. Paschal, Sr and to this union seven children were born. She was a retiree of Burlington Industries and a member of Gees Grove A.M.E. Zion Church. Betty was a devoted wife who enjoyed cooking, reading, caring for her children and especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

Betty Marie was preceded in death by her husband Richard Paschal, Sr; a son James Paschal, Sr.; a daughter Lecia Palmer; a grandson James Paschal, Jr and one infant great-granddaughter.

She leaves to cherish her legacy and memory three daughters, Mrs. Sharon Cheek (Sylvester) of Ramseur, NC; Ms. Barbara Paschal of the home and Ms. Janice Paschal of Greensboro, NC. Two sons; Mr. Richard Paschal, Jr. (Thomasina) of Greensboro, NC and Mr. Jerry Paschal (Pandora) of Goldston, NC. Two sisters; Mrs. Rosa Mae Marsh and Ms. Margaret Moffitt, both of Siler City, NC. She also leaves five grandchildren, six great -grandchildren and one great-great grandchild whom she loved and cherished them all dearly along with a host of other relatives and friends
