Mr. Allen Junior Burnette (AKA Al or K-Line), 81, was born January 8, 1943, to the late Mr. Coy Burnette Sr. and Mrs. Epsie Baldwin Burnette in Orange County, NC and transitioned on April 25, 2024 at the FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Rockingham, North Carolina.
Allen was educated in the Chatham County Schools Systems. He attended Terrell’s Chapel AME Zion Church in Pittsboro, North Carolina during his early years. He later joined Lambert Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Male Chorus and the softball league. He later attended The Church of God in Siler City, North Carolina.
Allen married the love of his life Mrs. Brenda Ann (Farris) Burnette and to this union two children were born, Mr. Gregory (Chubby) Junior Burnette and Mr. Gary Lee Burnette. They later adopted a daughter, Ms. NaQuisha Fuller.
Allen loved fishing and baseball. He played in many leagues. He was a great player and liked to show off his running skills. He liked to talk about how “in shape” he was and enjoyed walking around town. He also liked to attend funerals, even if he did not know the person; he would show his respect and had a collection of obituaries.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, a loving wife, one son Gregory, brothers, Harvey Burnette and Bill Burnette and one sister Mary Ann Burnette.
Allen leaves to cherish his memories, a son Mr. Gary Burnette of Buffalo, NY; a faithful daughter, Ms. NaQuisha Fuller of Siler City, NC; two brothers, Mr. Coy Burnette Jr. of Greensboro, NC; Mr. Jay Burnette of Siler City, NC; sister-in-law Ms. Betsy Farris; brothers-inlaw Mr. Isacc Farris (Beverly) and Mr. Wayne Farris. Devoted special friends, Ms. Vickie Castevens, Mr. Nickie Peoples, and Ms. Gina Jones and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
