Roy Martin

Mr. Roy Martin was born May 12, 1937 to the late Wade and Mary Jo Martin. On December 26, 2019, the Lord called Roy from earthly home to his Heavenly home.

Roy attended Chatham High School. He began his working career at Siler City Builders Suppl where he worked for many years and he ended with the dream of starting his own business cleaning brick until he later retired. 

Roy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He became a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for many years where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He loved to sing and play the guitar.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Annie White.

He leaves to cherish memory: his loving and devoted wife, Edith Martin; three children, Kenneth Martin (Eugenia), Felicia Jordan (Gregory), Kimberly Burch (Stevie), all of Siler City, NC; five grandchildren, Sakeena Jordan, Corey Jordan, Brittany Foxx, Gabreyl Foxx, Stevie Burch, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Tiana Brooks, Taniya Brooks; three brothers, Lennis Martin (Fannie) of Siler City, NC, Kelly Martin (Geneva) of Willow Springs, NC, Eddie Martin of Siler City, NC; three sisters, Wilma Robinson of Siler City, NC, Judy Currie (John) of Durham, NC, Mary Scotton (Robert) of Durham, NC; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
