OBITUARY
Betty Graves Staley was born on December 19, 1928 to the late George and Augusta Graves in Chatham County, North Carolina. She made her transition from this earthly life into eternal rest on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Genesis Health Care.
Betty professed Christ at an early age and was a life member of Holy Trinity Church and was faithful until her health declined and prevented her from participating. She was a member of the Senior Choir, a member of the Pastor’s Aide, and attended Bible Church School.
She received her education from Chatham County Training School in Siler City, North Carolina.
On January 28, 1947, Betty was united in holy matrimony to Rudolph Staley and to this union eight children were born.
Betty loved knitting, shopping and attending church. She was a resident at Genesis Health Care for several years and enjoyed attending the weekly worship services.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph, her parents, George and Augusta Graves; a son, Charles Staley; daughters, Tiny Lou and Vanessa S. Brown and a host of brothers and sisters.
She leaves to cherish her life and memory: three daughters, Rose Anna Staley and Mariam Elizondo (Mario) of Siler City, NC and Bonnie Lane (Rev. Ted) of Goldston, NC; two sons; Eddie Staley (Debra), Siler City, NC and Johnnie Staley (Jamie) of Seattle, WA; son-in-law, Donald Brown; forty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
